Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Have the rooms got showers or baths?
A. All our rooms are en-suite, some have only a shower, please ask us if you would particularly like to have a room with a bath.

Q. Do you cater for children?
A. Children are always very welcome; we can provide travel cots, highchairs and children’s food options, plus activities for children in the cafe.

Q. How far is it to the beach and coast path?
A. We’re at the centre of the Marloes Peninsula so there are several coast path access points within a 15 minute walk of the B&B, plus we are lucky enough to have some of Pembrokeshire’s most spectacular beaches (Marloes Sands, Musslewick Bay) within walking distance, and the water sports facilities at Dale are just 3 miles away.

Q.  How far is it to Skomer Island?
A. The departure point for the ferry to both Skomer & Skokholm Islands is just 2 miles from The Clock House – it’s a few minutes by car, or will take you approximately 35 minutes on foot. You can also take the Puffin Shuttle bus from the bus stop 100 yards from The Clock House, (although this will not get you there in time to catch the FIRST boat to Skomer island).

Q. Can you accommodate groups?
A. We’re happy to take group bookings in our B&B. As well as our 6 main guest bedrooms (accommodating up to 11 adults), we also offer a group apartment that can take up to 5 more adults.  Therefore we can accommodate a group of up to 16 adults (plus 1 child in the family room). Call us on 01646 636527 and tell us what you need.

Q.  Is there public transport?
A.  During the summer months, the Puffin Shuttle bus links Marloes with the nearby towns of Haverfordwest and Milford Haven, and points along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path.  Further details are available here >>

Q.  I’m walking/cycling can you move my luggage?
A.  Please give us a call on 01646 636527 – we can sometimes transport your bags to or from your next destination for a small charge, depending days/times required.

Q. Do you allow dogs?
A. As a courtesy to those guests who may be allergic to animal hair, we do not allow dogs to come inside The Clock House at any time. However, guests who wish to bring their pet with them on holiday are welcome so long as their pet is content to sleep in their own vehicle at night. Obviously, we would hope that all pets will be taken out by their owners and not left alone in the car during the day - it is after all, their holiday too!
