Marloes Sands

Sunset

MARLOES SANDS is a beautiful, isolated stretch of sand with rocky outcrops along its length. It is rarely busy and out of season you are likely to have it to yourself! With a National Trust Car Park at the top of the beach path, you are only a short walk away from this unspoilt beach. If you are on a walking holiday, it will take you approximately twenty minutes to walk from The Clock House to Marloes Sands.

MARTIN’S HAVEN is a small beach which has the embarkation point for boat trips to Skomer and Skokholm Islands where bird life abounds and in the late summer months, the seal pups can be seen from the cliffs above on the many secluded coves that abound in this area of the coastline.

DALE offers a sheltered bay and is perfect for those taking their first steps into the world of windsurfing or sailing. Dale has a shingle beach with some sand at low tide and an attractive seafront with many water sports available throughout the year.

WEST DALE is a sand and shingle bay surrounded by old red sandstone cliffs. With its strong rip tides and powerful waves this is an attractive beach for the more experienced surfer.

ST BRIDES HAVEN is a small cove with sand exposed at low tide and pebbles further up the beach. It faces North West and so is protected from the South Westerly winds making it an excellent spot for bathing. There are many rock pools to explore and the cover provides good views across St. Brides Bay. With a beautiful little Church nestled above the bay, this is a must for visitors at any time of the year.

LITTLE HAVEN is a picturesque old fishing village with steep streets that descend to a small beach. At low tide there is a pleasant walk along the beach to Broad Haven with numerous caves and rock pools to explore.

BROAD HAVEN offers a large expanse of sand which is popular with families and bathers. Boasting three slipways for easy access, it is great for windsurfers, surfers and other water sport activities. At low tide you can walk along the beach to the neighbouring village of Little Haven.
